How do I know my deposit is protected? Top.
By Law, Landlords and Agents (in England and Wales) who take a deposit from tenants under an Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement (AST) on or after 6th April 2007 must protect that deposit using a government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme. mydeposits is an insurance-based scheme which allows your Landlord/Agent to protect your deposit whilst continuing to hold the money for the duration of the tenancy. How do I know my Gas appliances are safe? Top.
All gas appliances have to be checked by a Corgi registered Engineer by law. A copy of the Gas certificate can be found in your home information booklet, if this is missing or you wish to have a copy then please Contact us on the numbers provided on our contact page.

How do I end my tenancy Top.

What do I do if I need to contact a Plumber? Top. If you have a leak, please turn off the water and contact us immediately. For any plumbing needs we will arrange for a plumber to call as soon as possible.

What do I do if one of my white goods develop a fault? Top.
In the first instance please contact us, we will give you a contact number for you to ring to arrange your own convenient time for a service engineer to call and fix the problem, you will not have to pay for this visit we have arranged for all invoices to be sent directly to us. If the problem cannot be fixed we will arrange for a replacement item.

What do if I am away from my house for more than one week? Top.
Please carry out the following actions:
a) Inform us so we can look after the house for you. Or advise us of someone who we can contact in you absence.
b) Leave the central heating on constant at a low setting around 15 degrees in the winter months.
c) Turn off the water supply to the house.
d) Turn off and empty your fridge and leave the door open if you are going to be away for more than two weeks.
e) Cancel any papers or milk deliveries.

What can I do to make sure I get my full deposit back? Top.

Can I move any of the furniture around? Top.
We do not encourage this but if you feel you need to then please do so, but please relocate it back to its original position at the end of your tenancy failure to move any furniture back could result in you losing some of your deposit.

Can I put my own pictures up Top.
Yes you can, all we ask of you is to use the correct picture hooks and too avoid any unnecessary drilling.

can I paint any of the walls? Top.
We have taken great care to keep all of our properties very neutral and modern and we do not encourage people to paint or decorate any rooms without our direct permission.

Can I put up a satellite dish? Top.
Yes you can as long as it is installed by a professional installer and prior permission is obtained.Back to top
